CONSULTATION · DIRECT WITH THE EXAMINER
Book a Consultation with Wanderson Castilho
This page books time with Wanderson Castilho directly, not with an account manager. He founded Enetsec in 1999, has practised digital forensics for 21 years, and has given 40 depositions in the past four years. Consultations run Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Most forensic firms route a first call to intake staff. You describe the matter, someone writes it down, and days later an examiner reads a summary of what you said. Detail gets lost in that handoff, and the detail is usually the case.
Here you talk to the examiner. The person on the call is the person who would run the examination and sign the report.
Who books these
Attorneys and in-house counsel
Bring the matter, the jurisdiction and the deadline. We will tell you in the call whether digital evidence can answer the question you actually need answered, what would have to be acquired, and whether the timeline is realistic. If the honest answer is that an examination will not help your case, you will get that answer in the call rather than after an invoice.
Corporate and organisational leadership
Breach response, suspected data theft, internal matters, and due diligence. If an incident is live, call (561) 846-9010 instead of booking, because live incidents are handled the same day and scheduling costs you hours you do not have.
Individuals and families
Compromised accounts, a device you think someone else can see, online harassment, or a situation you cannot get a straight answer about. You do not need technical vocabulary. Describe what happened in ordinary words.
Law enforcement and government
Independent examination, second opinions on an existing report, and agency requests.
What happens in the consultation
We ask what happened and when you first noticed it. We ask what devices, accounts or systems are involved and who has had access to them. In our experience the most useful question is usually the simplest one: what would you need to know for this to be resolved.
Then we tell you what is technically possible. That includes what cannot be recovered, which is a real answer and one you should expect from any examiner who is being straight with you. Nothing on a device is guaranteed to be recoverable, and anyone who tells you otherwise before looking is guessing.
If an examination makes sense, you leave the call with the scope, the sequence, the deliverable and a timeline. If it does not, you leave the call knowing that, which is worth the time on its own.
Preparing for the call
Bring three things and no more.
First, the timeline: what happened, when you noticed, and what you have done since. Second, the inventory: which phones, computers, accounts or systems are involved. Third, the deadline, if there is one, including any court date or preservation obligation already running.
If you have already been told to preserve evidence, say so at the start. Preservation obligations change what we can advise you to do with a device, and we would rather know in the first minute than the last.
DO NOT TIDY UP FIRST
Do not delete anything before the call, do not reset a device, and do not run cleanup software. Across the 6,000+ cases we have analysed since 1999 (Source: Enetsec, 2026), the most common avoidable problem is evidence destroyed by well-intentioned tidying up in the days before someone called us.

Frequently Asked Questions
NO. 1 Is my case confidential?
Yes. Matters are handled confidentially, and we sign non-disclosure agreements on request before any detail is shared. When we are retained through counsel, the work is normally performed under the attorney’s direction so that privilege is preserved, and we will discuss that arrangement in the consultation. Evidence and reports are stored under access control, and we do not discuss client matters publicly, which is why no client names or case outcomes appear anywhere on this site.
NO. 2 How much does a digital forensic examination cost?
It depends on scope, and the honest variables are these: how many devices or accounts, how much data on each, whether the question is narrow or open-ended, whether testimony is likely, and whether a court deadline compresses the schedule. A single-device examination with a defined question sits at the low end. Multi-device corporate matters with testimony sit at the high end. You get a written scope and fee estimate after the consultation, before any work starts.
NO. 3 What actually happens in the consultation, and what does it cost?
The consultation is a working conversation with the examiner, typically 30 to 60 minutes depending on the matter type you select when booking. We take the facts, tell you what is technically possible, and give you a recommended scope. Fee arrangements for the consultation itself are confirmed when you book, so there is no surprise. Nothing is charged for work that has not been scoped and agreed in writing.
NO. 4 Do I need a lawyer before I book?
No. Individuals book directly and many matters never involve a lawyer at all. That said, if your matter is already in litigation, or you expect it to be, having counsel engaged first is usually better for you, because work performed under an attorney’s direction can be protected in ways that direct engagement cannot. If you are not sure which situation you are in, book anyway and we will tell you in the call.
NO. 5 Can we meet in person at the Boca Raton office?
Yes. In-person consultations are available at 3651 FAU Boulevard Ste 400, Boca Raton, FL 33431, Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Select the in-person option when booking so the office and the intake paperwork are ready. If you are bringing a device, bring its charger and cables, and do not use the device between now and the appointment if you can avoid it. Phone and video consultations are available for clients outside South Florida.
